Finance
Director of Finance
Firmex is a fast paced and exciting “cloud-based” software company. With customers around the globe, Firmex provides Virtual Data Room technology for enabling financial transactions and compliance. We are 40 going on 55 employees growing over 50% year over year.
The company is currently looking for a Director of Finance to provide strong financial & administrative leadership. This role will build and grow the finance department and give input into overall business strategy. The position reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities:

Manage the core finance & accounting team, including the following sub-functions: AR, AP, Treasury and general ledger accounting
-
Plan, organize & direct the period close process, including preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
-
Ensure compliance with established internal controls & participate in process improvement initiatives
-
Owner of process and controls documentation, including financial policies
-
Ensure integrity of financial data and systems
-
Research technical accounting issues including: IFRS implementations, stock compensation, revenue recognition, deferred development costs
-
Preparation of tax provisions and compliance documentation
-
Review of month-end balance sheet reconciliations and KPI & budget variance analyses
-
Assist with design and preparation of Board and shareholder information
-
Coordinate the year end audit
-
Manage cash flow, and maintain the rolling 180 day cash flow forecast
-
Provide financial planning and analysis support, including product and customer level KPI/ROI data for management decision making purposes

Manage the treasury process including foreign exchange management and the investment of excess cash balances

Provide administrative & technical supervision to staff personnel
-
Primary custodian of ERP system & associated controls

Primary point of contact for internal and external auditors

Participate in the creation of new processes to streamline workloads & find opportunities to enhance efficiencies with existing processes

Provide financial recommendations & ideas when new business initiatives are proposed
Skills & Qualifications:

Effective written and oral communication skills
-
Ability to lead in an growth work environment and build a small tight-knit finance team

Solution orientation with strong analytical problem-solving skills & attention to detail

Experience working in a multi-currency environment

Advanced MS Excel skills
-
Professional accounting designation (etc. CA, CMA, CGA)
-
Financial accounting system (ERP) experience, Quickbooks/MS Navision experience an asset
-
7+ years of finance employment experience (at least 1 year outside of a public accounting firm)

Inbound Sales Representative
We are a cloud-based software company experiencing exponential growth. We are located in downtown Toronto with corporate, legal and financial clients across North America, Europe and emerging markets. We are currently seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team.
In this position, the successful candidate will play an integral role in growing revenue by converting new and existing leads to sales ready opportunities. Existing knowledge of corporate transactions is preferred. This position reports directly to the VP Sales.

Account Manager
