In 2006, Firmex saw an opportunity to provide a cloud-based solution for sharing large volumes of confidential documents. Our original clients were transactional law firms and investments banks that needed to share documents for financial due diligence and compliance. They wanted an unlimited use, private-label deal room as part of their practice. Today, over 100,000 companies worldwide have used our virtual data rooms, including financial and legal intermediaries, investment funds and corporations. Millions of documents are exchanged using Firmex, supporting processes that include financial transactions, M&A, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation and procurement.
