Our Story
Based in Toronto, Canada, Firmex was founded in 2006 with the belief that professionals who shared a lot of confidential documents were frustrated by their existing data room. It was unintuitive, had costly per page pricing, and steep overage fees. We envisioned something better: a value-driven, simple, and robust cloud-based virtual data room solution. It was a virtual data room that law firms, investment banks, and corporations could trust for their due diligence, litigation, and compliance.
After more than a decade in business, Firmex now serves over 140,000 organizations. Today millions of documents are exchanged using Firmex for financial transactions, M&A, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, litigation, procurement, and more. Mark Wright, General Manager
As General Manager, Mark leads Firmex’s strategy and growth. Mark comes to Firmex from Adenyo, where he led the development of the global Marketing team through to the company`s sale to Motricity in 2011.
Prior to joining Adenyo, Mark was the Director of Global Marketing Operations at Research in Motion, where he drove the expansion of RIM’s global field marketing and training programs, led the direct marketing practice, and pioneered RIM’s web and social media analytics discipline.
Mark holds a degree in film studies from Queen’s University and a master of business administration with a concentration in strategic marketing from McMaster University.
Randy Rosenberg, CTO and Co-Founder
As Chief Technology Officer, Randy leads the Firmex development and quality assurance teams, guiding them on how to approach new designs and solve technical challenges.
Randy has over 25 years of software development experience and proven success in architecting for growth. Prior to co-founding Firmex, he co-founded V51 Consulting Inc. where he designed Lexicon, a popular application development environment.
Randy attended University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, and Ryerson University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts studying Media Arts, Physics, and Math.
Kyle Bardsley, SVP of Customer Operations and Growth
As the SVP of Customer Operations and Growth, Kyle Bardsley is responsible for customer retention, growth, and service. He joined Firmex in 2010, helping to build and lead its Account Management team.
He has continued his focus on post-sales customer service by streamlining Firmex’s Customer Success and Client Services teams so they can continue to deliver award-winning support.
Prior to joining Firmex, Kyle spent six years running his own business as a third party distributor for a major Canadian cable operator, winning top sales awards nationwide. Kyle is a graduate of Durham College for Business, Human Resources, and Marketing.
Jason MacLellan, VP of Sales
As the Vice President of Sales Jason leads and sets the strategy for the North American new business sales team. Jason has accelerated the growth of the team, which has tripled in size since he took over as the leader in 2019. Starting as a Sales Executive in 2010, Jason has advanced his professional career alongside the growth of Firmex.
Prior to joining Firmex Jason held various sales positions in IT and hospitality. Jason is a graduate of the University of Windsor’s Honours Bachelor of Commerce co-op program with a focus on Marketing and Finance.
Sarah Fulton, VP of Human Resources
As the VP of Human Resources, Sarah Fulton leads Firmex’s recruiting, retention, and employee relations.
She joined Firmex in 2014 and has since played a central role in fostering company culture, which prides itself on the core values of humour, collaboration, respect and success of all employees.
As a leader in the development and growth of Firmex, she also takes an active role in management coaching and employee engagement initiatives. Sarah attended Western University, where she completed a BA in Sociology.
Glenn Attridge, VP of Technology
As Vice President of Technology, Glenn leads Firmex’s security, compliance, IT and cloud hosting strategy.
Glenn has spent the past 20 years working with software development teams, helping them to adopt a DevOps mentality and deliver high quality, secure applications to their users. Prior to Firmex Glenn led quality assurance teams and supported internal development infrastructure at Quest Software and Uptime Software in downtown Toronto.
Joining Firmex provided Glenn the opportunity to enter the SaaS world, leading teams tasked with ensuring the Firmex VDR service is secure, responsive and highly available.
Donald Tabvuma, Senior Director of Finance and Operations
As Senior Director of Finance, with 16+ years of firm and business experience, Donald oversees Accounting & Finance Operations at Firmex. He is a key contributor in optimizing business operations, and is responsible for the ongoing growth and development of the finance function and its evolving role and responsibilities within the organization.
Donald is a graduate of Lincoln University, PA.
Pavan Singh, VP of Information Management & Analytics
As VP of Information Management & Analytics, Pavan leads Firmex’s Business Intelligence, Data Science and Sales Operations teams. These teams are essential to enable Firmex’s internal business teams to make data driven decisions and operate more efficiently.
Pavan has over 20 years of experience in the Data Management & Analytics space. Prior to Firmex, Pavan worked as a data analytics consultant for 15 years. Pavan advised, designed and implemented Enterprise Data Warehouses and CRM applications for a variety of large organizations including Scotiabank, WSIB, Cancer Care Ontario, Canadian Tire Corporation, Fidelity Investments and Societe Generale.
Pavan has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo with specialization in Business Administration and Information Systems.
