Even as a child, Buffett displayed an interest in making and saving money, selling chewing gum door-to-door, delivering newspapers, and working in his grandfather’s grocery store. Buffett filed his first tax return in 1944 (age 14), taking a $35 deduction for the use of his bicycle and watch on his paper route.
