On September 6th Broc Romanek, Editor of Deallawyers.com, hosted an interview with Joel Lessem on the Evolution of Virtual Deal Rooms. The interview focused on three main areas:
1) How Firmex differentiates itself through its unlimited use subscription model and product functionality
2) The benefits of unlimited use deal website software versus expensive 3rd pay-per transaction costs
3) The innovative uses of corporate deals rooms when there is no incremental cost to starting a deal room.
During the interview Joel Lessem CEO emphasized that there is no incremental cost to initiating a new deal room we see our clients use their deal websites for any transaction involving more than twenty documents. He also said “…by using a Firmex deal room the parties are much better organized. The clarity of information means the legal or financial advisors stay on top of the deal. Our clients are in the service business so this is of utmost importance.”
